Sister of the past chief judge of Lagos state, Now the chief judge!


History was made yesterday August 20th in Lagos state as Hon. Justice
Oluwafunmilayo Olajumoke Atilade, the younger sister of the
immediate past Chief Judge of the state, Justice Ayotunde Philips (left) who
retired in July, was sworn in as the new Chief Judge of Lagos state by Gov
Babatunde Fashola at the Adeyemi Bero Auditorium, Lagos state Secretariat,
Alausa, Ikeja.
This is the first time in the history of the state judiciary siblings will succeed
each other as Chief Judge of the state. Continue...

At a well-attended programme held at Adeyemi Bero Hall of the state Secre­
tariat, Governor Babatunde Fashola (SAN) formally swore in Justice
Funmilayo Atilade as the 15th chief judge of Lagos State. She took over
from her elder sister, Justice Ayotunde Philips.
